I live locally to this bar/restaurant and have popped in from time to time. The food is pretty standard but overpriced for what it is. Although the staff are friendly enough, the service has always been slow without exception even if it's relatively quiet. I definitely think you could get better value for money and more atmosphere elsewhere.

In general I have always found this place a nice place to eat. However it is clear the staff can\'t deal with high volumes of guests. Popped in for Sunday lunch and between taking our order and serving there was a 1hour and 40 min wait. On top of this there was one dark haired waitress who was pretty rude and had no conception of customer service.

On the up side the other staff were nice and the food was good. My advice would be, go only if it us quiet.

WOW! after reading the review below I thought I would write this to say they must have had an off day that day! I was in about 10 days ago. there was just and the good lady and we had one of the nicest meals we've had in a while, the staff were very attentive, My wife and I have differant alergies and nothing was a problem for them. we usualy just go home after dinner but the staff reserved a table for us in the bar and we had a great evening, great place to spend our aniversary.

Thanks for a great night Crick

Having booked the Cricklewood Hotel for a joint family birthday the whole evening was spoilt by waiting for 1hour and 45 mins just for the starters and then receiving uncooked chicken in 3 of the plates in a party of 10 where one lady was 85 and in poor health and another several months pregnant.

Unless you have money to burn, time to waste and risk your health and life I would certainly avoid!!
